1 was sick and tired of the way they were treating each other, but I was more upset with the way they were treating me. I was not a doormat or a punching bag. I didn’t have to put up with this!

They didn’t apologize to each other, but they did tell me they were sorry for the way they’d treated me. I figured that was good enough for a start.

I stomped to my room, my heart heavy. Even though my brothers had calmed down, I had blown it. James chapter one says that the anger of man does not achieve the righteousness of God. Losing my self-control was not the right way to handle the situation. However, I thanked God that, in spite of me. He had used my anger to defuse my brothers.

Loster was acting like a big baby instead of understanding about my family problems. Sure, I should have told him 1 was leaving the church, but he should have known when he saw me with a black eye that something strange had happened. He didn’t even ask me about it.

Meagan had been calling constantly. I knew she wanted my forgiveness, but I just couldn’t give it to her yet. She had ruined my family. Well, she’d caused a lot of drama, anyway.
